Sketchbook Marathon (toy)

Last night I had a little time, and a sketchbook that's almost full. Here are two things you need to know at this point. 1. For some reason I feel the need to fill up a sketchbook all the way before I move onto the next one. 2. The sketchbook I'm using now I don't like very much.

So, I had time and about 12 pages left, and I decided to have a little sketchbook marathon to fill up the empty pages.

Well, I didn't get all the pages full. In fact I only did three sketches. I had way too much fun with the watercolors. Here they are, the first sketch (which I actually drew second) is for this weeks Illustration Friday theme "toy".

  2. Blocks saved me on my first day of kindergarten. I was hysterical until they gave me blocks to play with. Love this.

  3. Very inspiring. Love the moodiness of the monochrome. Great work!

    Thanks you all.
@getzapped, I loved blocks as a kid too! I think that is why I felt like drawing them.

  5. Manelle,

How do you find your inspiration to sketch? I find at times my brain too scattered to actually put an image down on paper.

What type of scanner are you using to transfer your images online? The quality is wonderful!

Sometimes I just have to make myself sketch. The more I do the more I want to do it. Because I start looking and noticing things I can draw. In my sketchbook I like to draw a lot from life too. I usually don't put those online.

The scanner is just an Epson all in one I bought at staples for like 70 bucks or something like that.
