This is a series of illustrations I've been working on for a while. I sneaked time on them in between other projects I've been working on. Overall I like how they worked out but I'm not sure I want all the illustrations in my portfolio. I'd love to hear your suggestions on which ones I should keep and which I should toss, if any.
Hi, Manelle!
ReplyDeleteToss=none. I think they're all really nice and work well as a series. I wouldn't get rid of any of them.
I get the strange feeling like these kids are being followed. Is it just me, or is there some Count Olafery going on here? Wonderful!
They're totally being followed. Glad you caught on. :)
ReplyDeleteBTW, Thanks Sam.
ReplyDeleteI think your drawings great. Your paintings could use a bit of value adjustment to emphasize focal points.
ReplyDeleteI think your illustrations are great, but many seem period. Which is also fine as long as that is what you are going for in you portfolio.
ReplyDeleteI haven't looked at you older posts, but everything you have up right now seems themed and of an earlier age. In your portfolio you could be trapping yourself with your own success and limiting your prospects. Which is the opposite of what a portfolio is supposed to do. If I was the publisher of a story set in modern or future times, I might pass you over for that project.
This is no reflection on the interesting story you are beginning to tell and I don't know what else you have in your portfolio, but your question was quite specific.
Be Well.
These turned out great! I especially like the train station, I just like the architecture and the perspective.
